Problem: My daughter just had her first birthday and My pediatrician says stop the bottle I have gotten her down to 2 or 3 bottles a day usually one in afternoon and one before bed she will not drink milk from a cup but she will drink juice from it she always has to have a bottle before her a nap she won't hold it on her own so she brings it to me to give to her she will hold her cup and drink out of it on her own though. She runs around calling for her BOBBLE I need some advice on getting her off! Thanks, Kristy
Solution submitted by EMMUM from the UK: It sounds like this is a time that your daughter wants to be close to you and cuddled while she has her bottle. I'd say let her have the bottle until you think she's too old for it, not when the pediatrician says that she is. If it suits you and your daughter, then in my book, that's OK. When you want to wean her off the bottle, you can start diluting the milk with water, gradually increasing the water content. In the mean time, enjoy the closeness and cuddles!
