Problem: My 4th grader is terrified of his teacher because she dumps kids desks out if they can't find books, she slams her hands on their desks, she tears up their unfinished work, and now he has headaches, stomachaches, and is so sad every morning that I feel guilty for sending him to school. I have tried to talk to his teacher and she apologized for tearing up his papers, and then dismissed it as OH WELL, at least he doesn't have to do them now. His grades are still mostly A's but his self-esteem is fading fast!
