Problem: About 3 weeks ago, I took a week vacation. Since I've come back, my 2 1/2 year old won't let me out of her sight. She is totally horrendous when I try to leave her at day care. She won't go to bed without a fight. She wants me to sleep in her room. She even insists that I carry her constantly. At first I gave in to many of the demands thinking she'd adjust back to herself in a short time, but the situation is only getting worse.

I have a 4 day trip just before Christmas and I dread having this happen again. What can I do to ease her fears without giving in and how should I tackle the upcoming separation so we're not right back where we started?
