Problem: I have a three year old who was potty trained. A few months ago she started pooping in her panties, just a little bit at a time. She refuses to use the potty. I've tried giving her more attention, one on one, by leaving the baby with a sitter and devoting myself to her for a time. I tried just making her clean up and no punishment other than a discussion about why she did it. Now I'm at the punishing stage. I feel that her problem is jealousy of her younger sister, but I'm at a loss as to how to correct the problem.
Solution submitted by W. Thompson: I have had 5 kids and all of them created special problems in training. it is best to remember that when they are 16 they will not be still doing this, seriously: the best way that we found was quiet encouragement and allow them to proceed at their own pace.
