What I try to instill in my children is respect for themselves, other peers, and authority. I can't get over when parents don't insist that their kids don't say "yes mam" or "sir," "thank you,""please" "it was nice meeting you" etc...I suppose the problem is that if the parents don't have manners, how can you expect the children too? Now if you are offfended by this statement it probably means you don't have good manners either. When you have a son or daughter that repects others it will get them so far in life socially and professionally. So please parents require your children to repect everyone as much as you require them to respect you.
