Ages of kids: 11
Problem: My child chris has being wetting himself for the past 4 years. I have tried everything I can think of but they don't seem to make any difference, so It has resulted in me making him where specially made nappies for his age. He doesn't like wearing them but he does wear them all the time and he has slowly stopped wetting himself. He wets himself about once every two days, when before it was a couple of times a day. Was I right to make him where nappies again?
Solution submitted by Ian from Australia: I don't think forcing your child into wearing nappies was the right thing to do even though it might have solved the problem for you it could have repercussions for both you and your son in the future. usually wetting problems can be caused by a medical problem or a major trauma which has happen in your life.
I am 16 yrs old and have been wearing nappies since i was 7 yrs old and only at night. i had a major problem wetting the bed and the reason why this was happening because i had some major traumas in my life. my parents divorced and i was put into a home and made ward of the state. when i was 13 yrs old i stopped wearing nappies and had tablets. but secretly i was still wearing nappies because i enjoyed it and i felt safe and secure and i still wear them now. and your son may continue to keep wearing nappies after he has stop though he might not admit that to you. the other problem your son might have is infantilism when both children and adults regress back into babies and are know as adult babies or ab's i know your son doesn't like wearing nappies and that's what he tells you but deep done he might just like wearing nappies. i am not a ab and do not practice it i am just a diaper lover. if you would like more information regarding infantilism you can look it up at diaper pail friends. url http://www.dpf.com
I hope by sharing my experience with you that it will be of some help to you.
