Recipe Submitted by Mahaila from Iowa City, Iowa:
Place a ball of hamburger in the middle of a piece of aluminum foil.Slice the potatoes and carrots and put around the hamburger. Put a couple of slices of onions on top of the hamburger.Salt and pepper over all.Wrap the ends of the foil to make a nice tight package. Place on a cookie sheet and put in a 350 degree oven for about an hour. When you remove from the oven and open the package, open it with care so as not to get burned. Drain the grease from the package. I can usually get four packages on one cookie sheet. I like to make these when I don't want to have dirty dishes to deal with. The kids can eat them right out of their own little package. They can also be made early in the day, put in the refrigerator, and put in the oven at the proper time.
Mahaila tells us, "I have also used many different veggies in the packages. Whatever I have on hand-broccoli, zucchini, peas, green beans, etc."
