Toddler Bedtime A Problem? Here's an Idea.

Sleepy GirlIs your little one making you crazy? Is going to bed becoming an issue you had nver imagined? Here is an interesting way to handle the problem.

Give that little learner a new challenge. Buy an inexpensive wall clock. The kind with big letters and easily seen. They are usually made of plastic and run on a single AA battery.

Take a sharpie and put a happy face or similiar symbol beside the bedtime hour. Mark it also at the minute hand. You could also use stickers to do this.

Explain to little prince or princess that when the hands (or sticks if hands are confusing) reach those marks, it is time to be in bed.

Story reading and a glass of water comes after getting in bed.

Depending on the developmental stage of your child, this is a neutral way to say, "bedtime". (Can't argue with the clock!) As the child gets older, other stickers could mark homework time or walk -the -dog time. Also, a good way to actually learn to tell time when appropriate.

Happy Bedtime!
