Got a kid who will only eat chicken nuggets? And sometimes maybe spaghetti? Try this simple recipe for a twist on stuff your kids already like:
Chicken Nuggets Parmesean
1 box of frozen chicken nuggets
1 box of pasta of your choice (I use bowties, spirals or penne)
1 jar spaghetti sauce
1 T italian spice mix
1 bag mozzarella cheese
Parmesean cheese (if your kids will eat it)
Boil the pasta and drain. Put pasta into a large oven-proof container and mix in the spaghetti sauce, spice, frozen chicken nuggets and about half the cheese. Cover with lid or aluminum foil and place in 350' oven for approximately 30 minutes.
(If you are in a hurry, you can bake the nuggets in the oven while the pasta boils then mix everything and serve, but I like to bake it all together because the nuggets soak up more of the flavors of the sauce.)
Remove from oven, sprinkle with remaining cheese and parmesean and serve.
Makes about 6-8 servings at about $1 per serving. My kids will eat any leftovers the next day as well! This dish is a huge hit with my picky eaters and very economical as well.
