I missed Mother's Day. Totally. I forgot about it, to be honest. It was just another day around here and I don't usually make a big deal out of it for myself... but I forgot to send anything to my mom. Which is not good.
So, going though all the sorry-I-forgot-Mother's-Day gift possibilities today, I reacquainted myself with the Silver Jewelry Club. I have bought tons of jewelry from them in the past and even though it sounds a little scammy, it's not. They offer "free" jewelry- the only catch is that you have to pay shipping and handling which is $6.99 and if you are buying a pendant, the chain will run you another $4.
So, not exactly free, but it is sterling silver jewelry with real stones.
<- The ad over there shows the currently selling item. There are 4 jewelry items for sale at any given time, for about 15 minutes each. Generally you'll find pendants, earrings and rings but sometimes there will be something unusual like men's jewelry or a broach. You can click a link on their site that will show you the next upcoming 15 or so items to see if there's anything you are interested in.
I have a ton of jewelry from these guys- I went a little nuts buying matched sets in all the colors. I still check it from time to time for new stones and styles.
They also offer a slightly more expensive "Deal of the Day"- today's was a heart-shaped pendant with both amethysts and pink sapphires in it, including the chain and shipped it was $16.99. I bought it for my daughter... her birthstone is the amethyst. And being a little girl, she loves anything pink and sparkly!
At $6 more than the "free" offerings, it is a really good deal- the stones total 2 carats.
I've added their ad to the ParentsRoom site because for the price, they offer really pretty jewelry that you can give to your daughter and not freak out when she loses it.
I highly recommend it- they've always shipped on time and the jewelry is really nice quality. Don't get addicted and spend the day refreshing their page to see what's coming up next... like I did!
PS- I ended up sending mom white hosta from Spring Hill Nursery since a little birdie told me she really wanted something for her garden. Use code 414217 for $20 off a $20 purchase while it lasts! ->
