I am sitting here thinking about, and dreading, cold weather. Who will need new outerwear? Who can wear a handmedown? Is there a handmedown? Where are the boots that I stashed when Spring became a certainty? What will the house, heating units, pipes, and car need? And the leaves! Every year my beloved trees let loose their leaves and there is no technology to take care of them. As cooler nights start their encroachment, I start the worrying. What do you do to get ready for cold weather?
