Food Allergies

Number of kids: 2

Ages of kids: 5 & 2 years old

Problem: I have two boys with Food Allergies. My 5 yr. old is allergic to Milk and Soy Proteins and has a pancreatic insufficiency (pancreas doesn't absorb starches) My youngest is 2 yrs. and is allergic to Milk, Soy, Whole Eggs, Beef, Fish, Apples, Pears, and Peanuts. I really don't have a problem but would like to meet others with similar situation. It could be one or many food allergies with or without asthma. I would like to compare stories, ideas, recipes, etc.

Solution submitted by Tessa from Sk, Sweden: Hi! I m a mother of 3. Two boys and one girl, Christoffer 9, Oscar 7, and Ellenor 2. All my children have food allergies and asthma. Ellenor is a preemie and has a very difficult multiple food allergy. She can eat protein poor food. Not a very easy thing to live with. She's in a special day care center for children with difficult allergies and asthma, and that feels good for me, knowing that the staff is medically educated. But the boy is in an ordinary school and from my experience I think it is important that we as parents talk to school and the children's friends so that they can understand what it means for a child to have a food allergy. Good luck with your boys and please feel free to e-mail me if there is anything I can help you with.
