Vidalia Chrysanthemums

  • 4 large Vidalia onions (use the real thing!)
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can of cream of chicken soup
  • 1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pimiento
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 2-quart casserole dish. Cut onions into six wedges each without cutting all the way through. Place onions in casserole dish. Melt margarine and pour over onions. Spread onions with soup and sprinkle with cheese and pimiento. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until bubbly.
