Problem: I have an 8 month old daughter. Could you believe that we still have not graduated to using an 8 oz. bottle? It's so tiring to be feeding her every once in a while. She doesn't take milk in one sitting. I've tried feeding her on demand hoping it will increase her milk intake. After 3 oz. she's done. Any tips or suggestions?
Solution submitted by LAH of NJ: In regards to the amount of formula your baby is taking in a feeding, I know what you mean, and how frustrating you feel. I have a four month old that would only take 4 ounces in a feeding, and sometimes a little bit more, if we were lucky! It was so upsetting because for one, I was feeding her every three hours, and I was worried about her not taking enough to grow. But my doctor's visits assured me that she was growing plenty!! She is still in the 95% percentile!! Anyway, I just wanted to reassure you.
