Problem: My 11 week old baby seems to be teething already. Is this normal??? she seems to be drooling an awful lot. Since I thought I was crazy I put my finger in her mouth to check it out I found what feels to be a tooth next to wear her molars will be. I was under the impression that the first teeth were bottom front. If anyone can give me a little more information on this subject I would greatly appreciate it. Being a first time mom I really have no idea what I can do to help her out, she seems to be really cranky.
Solution submitted by Nicky from Quispamsis N.B.: I have a two year old who was exactly the same way .Just recently we have found out he has a milk allergy (not lactose intolerant but ALLERGY) iF YOU ARE BREASTFEEDING try going off all milk products if you are bottle feeding switch to a milk free such as Isomil. I WISH SOMEONE WOULD HAVE TOLD US THIS since it would have caused us a lot of problems. Because we didn'T KNOW THIS HE'S had eczema, diarrhea, and asthma attacks.Spitting up a lot is also a sign. hopefully this is not your baby's problem but it would have been nice if we had caught Luke's allergy sooner. P.s. A lot of doctors don't believe in this go and ask a PEDIATRIC ALLERGIST they will tell you how common this problem really is.GOOD LUCK!!!!
Another solution submitted by PeachCobbler from Covington, GA: My son started teething early also. If your child can hold objects, we used a refrigerated carrot for our son to gnaw on. You can also refrigerate a damp cloth and let your child chew on that. I had a pediatrician tell me to give my son ice cold water in his bottle to help soothe.
