Hi, I am diver, AKA Karyn. I am a 31 year old SAH mom from Connecticut. I have been happily married to Peter for 6 years now. We have one wonderful daughter named Mirella. She was born on June 4th, 1996, so her first birthday was not long ago. She is the light of our lives, we are so blessed to have her. diver stands for my husband's company name, which is Diversified Inc. He is a computer consultant, he started his own business a few years ago and has never been short of work yet, so I guess that's pretty good. We are both scuba divers, though he has been diving much longer. He started about 14 years ago, and I am just newly certified (or certifiable, those of you who know me) and don't have much experience diving in open water since I promptly got pregnant after I got certified and haven't been diving since. I am long overdue for a Caribbean vacation! Aren't we all? I enjoy playing with Mirella, of course, and diving, horseback riding, hiking and generally anything that involves being outdoors. After her first birthday party, we can hardly fit in the house anymore with all her toys! Just what I needed, a house full of plastic! I guess it was inevitable. Also, obviously, I enjoy making new friends on the #!Parentsroom channel. You are all a wonderfully colorful and friendly bunch. I suggest to those parents who are perusing this page and have never tuned in to chat, come visit us, you'll be happy you did. We are pretty harmless, and there is a lot of experience to draw from in this parenting game we are in.
