Recipe Submitted by Momof3boyz :

My kids like to call this "Puppy Chow"

  • 2 (12-ounce) boxes oyster crackers
  • 3/4 cup Wesson Oil (for best results, don't substitute)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 package dry ranch dressing mix (original recipe)
  • Pour crackers into large container with a tight seal. (Container should be large enough to thoroughly mix ingredients.) Combine remaining ingredients in mixing bowl and mix well. Pour mixture over crackers and stir, mixing evenly. Place lid on container and toss vigorously to mix. Shake the container every 20 to 30 minutes for 3 hours. Makes about 9 cups and keeps well for a couple weeks in an airtight container.

Momof3boyz tells us, "You can add your favorite herbs and spices for a different taste, about a teaspoon will do. Lemon pepper is one of my favorites. Good do-ahead snack for the holidays.
