Problem:My son wets the bed and he is 11 years old. I am tired of washing clothes and sheets all the time. My son will not go over to friends' houses for sleep overs because he is afraid he will wet the bed. I would like to know if diapers such as goodnites would be a good solution for keeping the bed dry. Will you please e-mail me your solutions.
Solution submitted by Becky from Tallahassee, FL: I am no stranger to the aggreviation of a bed wetter. A wetting child, you can't hide it. Not to make the child feel bad but they know because they feel awful too. some remedies i find helpful are: omit all citric acid drinks past late afternoons. This is impossible at times but an effort seems to pay off. Limit all colas and caffiene. Pray and tell them you love them no matter what. And eventually they just grow out of it. For years I also would do a midnight trip to the john. This seemed to work. It is really hard to know for sure because you just never know if this is the night they stay dry.
