Problem: My step son came to us from a very mentally abusive (and maybe physical) home. We are having a terrible time with him going to the bathroom in his pants during the daytime. He comes home from school stinking to high heaven and doesn't seem to care at all. For the most part he doesn't wet the bed, but during the day, he "forgets" and goes in his pants. if we remind him to go to the bathroom, he cries about us being mean to him and that we make him work (his word) too hard. We've tried the reward system, the taking away privileges, and reasoning. Nothing seems to get through to him. Is there any help out there at all? I feel like this nightmare will never end!
