Problem: My five year old cannot pay attention. Actually, she has a short attention span. For instance, if you ask her to pick up her toys in the living room she will start to do it, but then she will get side tracked, take off and go do something else. We have had lots of patience and understanding with her, but now it is starting to run thin. It is really annoying when she is bothering the cat and we tell her several times to leave the cat alone. I am sure one of these days the cat will "get her back." We are aware of the cats "warning" noises and try to intervene.
