Problem: I will be going to my home town in India next month and will have to travel almost 22 hours in the plane.Moreover it is not going to be a direct flight.I will be changing about 3 flights before I reach my destination.The thought of traveling with my 3 year old for such a long time by plane is making me worried.

What are the precautions that I should take to ease the ear pain during take off and landing for my son? How do I make him comfortable inside the plane as well as in the airports? Please help! Thanks.

Solution submitted by Jackie: Take lots of toys and snacks. If the child likes puzzles, give him challenges to do his puzzles by himself, color by himself, and other things like that. Also give the child things to look forward to at each destination. Such as, a snack at the ice cream shop, shopping for a toy if he is behaving good, a ride on the escalator, getting to watch the BIG plane take off......you get the idea. Good Luck!
