Ages of kids: 1, 2 and 6
Problem: I have read and tried most of your solutions that you have posted and none have had satisfactory results. My fiance has submitted this problem before, but I really have no idea what she wrote and you haven't posted it yet. Here is my version of what's the problem. I have been with my fiance' for over two years now and her two + year old was only a couple of months old at the time. Bobbie has decided that I am her "Bob"which is pretty cool if you ask me,but she won't go to sleep without me. When I get her to sleep at night I put her to bed (her own)and within a couple of hours she will wake up screaming and come crawling in bed with us.Now we have a california king waveless water bed and you wouldn't think this would be a problem, but "privacy" is out of the question and she "travels"and kicks all night long so a good nights sleep or a body that's not sore is out of the question! What do I do? Can any body out there help? Please I'm desperate! I need to get her to sleeping in her own bed before sheer exhaustion takes over.
Solution submitted by "climber" from Chicago, IL: Maybe you read my problem (climbing child won't stay in room). Well, I can be tough and let my son cry himself to sleep, which has taken an hour in the past, but my husband can't handle the crying and lets him sleep with us. I disagree with this but have given in. He has been sleeping with us for about three weeks now. He has to watch a movie in bed but he does fall asleep with minimal problems. I'm afraid of how long this will continue. Is it humane to let your little one cry when he wants the people he loves most? I'm not sure what the solution is, however, this has shut my husband up. Needless to say, we haven't had any privacy, and I'm sure our marriage is suffering greatly. Good luck to you.
Please submit any moresolutions.
