Problem: My problem is with Matt our 13 year old little boy. He wets the bed every night, and wets his pants quite frequently also. We have had him to the doctor and a urinary specialist but they both said wait the problem out. Matt is currently diapered 24 hours a day 7 days a week. He feels really self conscious about the noise level of the diapers. He is afraid someone will hear the plastic rustling noise, even though myself and the nurse who helps change him at school tells him the noise is not even noticeable. My question is, is there any good cloth diapers that are available for older children. Or are there any other methods to managing our little boys problem.
Editor's Note: I wouldn't consider a 13 year old a "little boy." Perhaps you treat him as a baby so he acts like one? I also don't understand why the school nurse has to help "change" a 13 year old, it doesn't really make sense to me. Am I the only one to whom this "problem" doesn't ring true to?
Solution submitted by Perplexed: Yes, I agree with the editor something doesn't sound right. A 13-year-old, if he/she is short, is not a little boy. As for the nurse helping him change, if the nurse is only supervising the changing then it would be understandable. Someone at that age should be able to do most the work at changing.
