Problem: Our 13 yr old has had an attitude towards her sisters and us her parents.she feels like she is being treated unfairly because her friends are allowed to do things she can't and in turn she seems to be lashing out at us as well as her sisters. Her friends seem to me more important than her family. We have tried kindness, supporting her, setting the boundaries and making her aware of the consequences if she crosses them and following through, to letting her have free reign but still the attitude remains towards us...over the past couple of months she has gotten physical/hitting her 11 yr old sister as well as being very verbal with her...no matter what we try she refuses to change and acknowledge any wrong doing. she has had a note sent home from school concerning her attitude and language. We fear we are losing her...we try and include her in family activities which she enjoys but the following day her attitude is back.
